5 New Game-Changing Products From IBS 2019

IBS Las Vegas 2019

Last week, more than 67,000 of the contracting industry’s best and brightest descended upon Las Vegas for the annual International Builders’ Show. The convention brought together thousands of manufacturers from all across the globe for three days of networking, lectures and product launches.

As is tradition, the showroom was a blank canvas upon which top brands boasted their latest innovations. Naturally, many of our favorites brought their know-how to the floor.

Check out five of the most game-changing products from IBS 2019 below, and look for many of these to arrive in our showrooms shortly.

Andersen Windows: Easy Connect Joining System

One of the most exciting new products displayed at IBS 2019 was the Andersen Easy Connect Joining System, crowned this year’s winner of the prestigious Best In Show award.

This innovative system makes window installation more efficient than ever by allowing small combinations to be joined together early into the set-up process. It’s estimated to reduce the number of installers needed for individual projects by up to 50%.

Andersen Windows: Virtual Design Experience

The Andersen booth’s most interactive offering at this year’s IBS was definitely its Virtual Design Experience, a digital tool that invites visitors to test drive their personal creativity. Through this virtual experience, potential customers can compare different window styles and explore their unique design visions in a photorealistic environment — like playing a homebuilding videogame.

Marvin Windows and Doors: Modern

Despite being officially rolled out in late 2018, Marvin’s Modern series remained the brand’s most buzzworthy new product at IBS 2019. The line was created to meet the ever-evolving needs of modern design projects. In doing so, it combines a minimalist-style frame with high-density fiberglass and an aluminum interior (available in three colors). The frames maintain a maximum three inches of visibility, making them an ideal material for the trendy glasshouses popping up around the world.

Therma-Tru: Elevate 2019

Therma-Tru took to IBS to rollout their latest collection of entryway products, collectively branded as Elevate 2019. More of an overarching design mantra than an individual product, Elevate is inspired by three design trends — Humble Roots, Confident Focus and Timeless Twist.

Each trend speaks to a unique set of tastes: Humble Roots aims for comfort and easy-living; Confident Focus emphasizes experimental design; and Timeless Twist is focused on refreshing traditional styles. These renewed ideologies are already being infused into doorways.

Andersen Windows: VeriLock® security sensors; Yale® Assure Lock®

The most futuristic products at the Andersen booth were neither windows nor doors, but locks. Smart homes are the talk of the trade these days, so it’s only natural that Andersen is leveraging smart home technology to increase homeowners’ sense of safety. With the VeriLock security sensors and the Yale Assure Lock, windows and patio doors can be conveniently monitored, granting more control to the people who should have it.
